The Trailblazer
A little ancient wisdom.
A lot to discover.
Your zodiac animal is only the beginning. BaZi looks at the year, month, day and hour of your arrival. We turn that rich tradition into a beautiful place to get curious about yourself.
A moment in time.
A new perspective.
Start with the moment you arrived. We’ll map your four pillars and create a signature that is yours to explore.
Your basic chart is calculated in your browser. No email needed.

Start with the Gregorian date and local clock time on the birth record, then choose the IANA time zone for the place of birth. Keep the original local time when you choose the zone; converting the clock yourself and then selecting the birthplace zone would apply the shift twice.
A sample record to try
This invented record is for practice: 15 January 1990, 12:00, America/New_York. Enter those three values in the free calculator above. You can use the sample without entering your own birth information.
| Year | Month | Day | Hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 己巳 | 丁丑 | 庚辰 | 壬午 |
The Day Master is 庚 Geng, Yang Metal. The visible counts are Wood 0, Fire 3, Earth 3, Metal 1, and Water 1. Fire and Earth each appear three times, while the Day Master remains Metal.
- Read the four columns as Year, Month, Day, and Hour. Each has a Heavenly Stem above an Earthly Branch, making eight visible characters.
- Find the top character in the Day column. That stem is the Day Master. The year animal and the longest element bar answer different questions.
- Write down the Day Master, then count the four stems and the principal phase of each of the four branches. The total should be eight; each position contributes 12.5% to the visible phase bars.
- Keep the input date, time, and zone next to the result so that you can repeat the calculation or compare its conventions with another tool.
The year and month use solar-term boundaries; the day changes at local midnight. This calculator uses civil clock time without a longitude-based true-solar-time correction. These choices matter near a boundary. The chart is a traditional calendar framework for reflection; its counts do not measure personality, health, wealth, or future events.
Find the Day Master in the grid · Read the five-element counts · Check the calculation method
Have two plausible times on the same date? Compare those times. If the uncertainty crosses midnight, check both dates. A completely unknown hour needs a birth record, rather than an invented noon entry.

A few good questions.
Is this a prediction of my future?+
No. We calculate a traditional chart and offer cultural metaphors for self-reflection. The reading is not a validated personality test or professional advice.
What is free during the research trial?+
The basic chart and signature card are always free. During the open trial, adults can also request the full reading, wallpaper and reflection card in exchange for honest feedback afterward. Standard price is US$9.99.
Will my birth details appear when I share?+
No. Public signature links contain only the archetype. Your full reading uses a separate private link. Share the signature, and keep the private link for yourself.
